Through games, activities, and open conversation, kids connect, have fun, and discover they’re not alone. Our goal is to create a safe, supportive space where every sibling feels seen, heard, and valued.

At Sibshops Fernie, we believe that the kids are the teachers. The children lead the way, sharing and growing together, while our team provides resources and support. The real learning comes from their interactions with each other and their self-discovery.
Our Mission
Our mission at Sibshops Fernie is to foster a supportive environment for the siblings of children with special needs through engaging workshops and meaningful peer support.

Who Attends A Sibshops?
Sibshops are fun, supportive workshops for children aged 7 and up who have siblings with special needs. We especially value older kids stepping in as peer mentors, their support helps younger participants feel welcome and understood.

“Special needs” is defined by each family and can include:
